Message from Organizing Chair

Dear all,

It is my honor to welcome you on behalf of the Nepal Vitreo-Retina Society (NVRS) to the 7th Nepal Vitreo-Retina Conference and the 10th Indo-China Ocular Inflammation Study Group Meeting being held from November 16th to 18th 2023.

Nepal has excelled in the field of eye care, proving to be a global model for success. Despite many challenges, Nepal has been able to provide high quality eye care to all with the collaborative efforts of different national and international professionals. To see the rapid progress and growth of the different subspecialties in ophthalmology is thrilling. It is heartening to know that there has also been an increase in the number of vitreo-retina surgeons and uveitis and oculo-inflammatory disease specialists in Nepal. The goal of this forum is to create an environment for professionals in eye care to come together in one place in the hopes of fostering new collaborations to improve the scope of eye care in Nepal.

I would like to extend a note of gratitude and congratulations to the organizing committee of this historic event. With plenty of prospects for scholarly discussions amongst a diverse range of professionals, I hope we will be able to exchange our knowledge and skills and foster new and exciting collaborations. This conference will pave the path for the future of eye care in Nepal.

Our goal of restoring the gift of sight in people can only be achieved through our professional dedication and commitment to fulfill our greatest ambitions. I have faith that with our combined efforts, any insurmountable challenge will surely be overcome as we remain steadfast in our mission. With the complementary trinity of service, academics and research, we will remain well on our path to success.

I sincerely wish you all a wonderful and productive stay.
